Leading is learning how to organize in any available context. How do you learn how to organize in any context?
I help leaders practically with that by teaching you how to learn... and sending you forth to adapt. Adaptation opens up your view of options. Like standing in front of a tangled mass of nature and realising you have other options than standing in front of that tangled mass stunned for the rest of your life. Suddenly you realize that you can go around ...or create paths towards a new future.
So my approach to leadership learning is essentially me helping you to find out what you need to learn, and how to do this for yourself, rather than me claiming I can learn for you or teach you anything and everything.
A few of these thoughts above are inspired by John G. Burgoyne who phrased our shared ideas relatively well in Management Learning from1994.
Leadership is learning. Learning is innovating.
Try to reconsider the basic idea here of how you think about learning. For example, is there a chance that you too often assume that there are some things you cannot learn? How often do you assume that you know things? There is potential there. Do you see?
Cultivating an open, flexible, continuously learning mindset will save your creative motivation to do stuff. It will save your relationships, your organization and humanity.
Now go forth and adapt to create the future.
